Why Can a 50-Litre Geyser Cost Less Than a 10-Litre One?

It happens on our own list. The NasGas Electric Geyser NEG-50 (Rs. 22,900) costs less than the Boss Electric Geyser KE-SIE-10CL (Rs. 23,800). Capacity is only one part of the price:

• Tank material. NasGas uses heavy-gauge galvanized tanks, Boss uses enamel-coated steel, and Canon uses ABS bodies or a "Blue Diamond" inner tank. Each is built and priced differently.
• Wattage. The Boss 10-litre is 1500W. The NEG-50 is 3000W.
• Safety systems. Canon models list ELCB double protection and auto thermal cut-off, which add to the cost.
• Design. Horizontal, wall-mounted and vertical models are priced differently.

So compare the features you actually need, not just litres and rupees.

Canon Electric Geyser Price in Pakistan

Canon models on our site are sold as "Canon Electric Heaters". Every model listed below has a 2000W imported element. The EWH and FEWH models list ELCB double protection and auto thermal cut-off. The EWT models are wall-mounted with imported adjustable thermostats, high-density glass-wool insulation and a pressure gauge.

NasGas Electric Geyser Price in Pakistan

NasGas models list a rotary thermostat, glass-wool insulation, an anti-scaling anode rod and a safety valve. The NEG-30 to NEG-80 models use a heavy-gauge galvanized tank. The "Plus" models list optional watt control (800W, 1200W or 2000W), which can help where your wiring is limited.

Instant vs Storage Geyser

An instant geyser heats water as it flows through the unit. A storage geyser heats water in a tank and holds it. Instant models suit a kitchen or small bathroom, but they can need much higher electrical power, so check your wiring and breaker first. How Do You Choose the Right Size?

1. Start with people and use. 10–15 litres suits light use. 25–30 litres suits small families. 40–60 litres suits larger families. 80–100 litres suits high hot-water demand.
2. Go one size up if everyone bathes at the same time. Refill time is the most common frustration.
3. Check the tank. Enamel-coated or galvanized tanks resist corrosion and scale better.
4. Check the wattage on the product page. Our models range from 1500W to 3000W. Higher wattage heats faster but draws more current.
5. Check your power supply. A 2000W geyser draws about 9 amps at 220V. A 3000W model draws about 13.6 amps. If your area has voltage fluctuations, ask an electrician about voltage protection.

How Long Does Heating Take and What Does It Cost?

These are calculated estimates, not lab tests. They assume water heated from 15°C to 55°C with no heat loss, so real heating takes longer, especially in winter. The cost uses Rs. 33.10 per unit, the rate for the 201–300 unit slab [VERIFY with your DISCO].

Notice the two 50-litre rows. Heating the same water takes the same energy, so the cost is the same. A higher wattage only heats it faster.

A 2000W geyser uses 2 units for every hour it runs. Your own bill will differ with your slab, fuel adjustments and taxes. Once the water reaches the set temperature, the thermostat cuts power. A big tank still loses some heat, so good insulation matters.

To use less electricity:

• Pick the right capacity.
• Avoid setting the thermostat too high.
• Switch the geyser off when nobody needs hot water.
